Garrett Martin

Featured Artist for September-November 2025

Say hello to Spenard 2nd Saturday’s fall artist partner: Garrett Martin!

Garrett is a Spenard, Alaska–based artist and coffee shop owner whose creative roots stretch from monster making and special effects for indie films to illustration, painting, and collaborative art projects. Inspired by graffiti, tattoo art, retro pop culture, and dark fantasy, Garrett brings a playful and often twisted perspective to his work. Locally, he might be best known for the mural on the side of his coffee shop, @spenard_joes, a landmark that reflects his love of community, culture, and the colorful world around him.

100% of profits from Spenard 2nd Saturday sticker sales will be donated to our fall & winter community partner @ak_bookmobile 📚 Find Garrett’s limited edition Spenard 2nd Saturday sticker for purchase at participating Spenard storefronts through November.
