How did you get started doing art? What inspired you to begin?
“I started to draw and craft as a child and never stopped. It wasn’t until high school that I knew I wanted to pursue art as a career and life long passion.”
What mediums or styles do you like to work in?
“I describe my style as a combination of illustrative, pop art, and surrealism. I take much inspiration from other contemporary artists, tattoo artists and pop culture visuals such as movies or graphic novels. My main mediums are digital, acrylic paint, and tattooing. I also love working with clay and photography.”
What does this sticker design mean to you? What is the story or inspiration behind it?
“I wanted this sticker design to feel personal while still connecting with a wide audience. I chose to depict a raven because I relate to its trickster archetype and mischievous nature. Ravens also symbolize wisdom and knowledge. In my design, the raven is shown reading a book to highlight its curiosity and love of learning. The bright rainbow colors represent diversity, inclusivity, and hope, adding a vibrant and uplifting energy to the piece.”
How do you feel art can make a difference in the community?
“I believe art can be one of the best ways to connect people across cultures and backgrounds. It creates connection and a shared sense of identity, bringing communities together. Art also amplifies voices that might otherwise go unheard, fostering understanding and inclusivity.
“Art also encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning. When people encounter art in any form it invites them to think differently, question their surroundings, and explore new ideas.”
What’s one of your favorite projects you’ve ever worked on, and why?
“One of my favorite project was creating a mural for the Sundown music festival in 2024. While I love creating large scale paintings, this project is a favorite of mine because of the amazing people and artists I was able to meet while painting.”
Where can people find more of your work and support you as an artist? (Online store, upcoming events, galleries, commissions, etc.)
“You can find more of my work on Instagram or my website. I have been working with the Anchorage Museum for a community project/workshop during DesignWeek in February 2026! I also have prints and stickers for sale at Penny Royalty vintage shop, Rooted by Ria/Roots by Lu plant shop, and clothing merch at Brightside Tattoo. If you’re in the market for a new tattoo check out my page and message me about getting booked!”
What’s your favorite thing about Spenard?
“My favorite thing about Spenard is the identity it reflects. Spenard is a hub for artists and creatives, small businesses, diversity, cultural expression, public art, welcoming community, and amazing coffee. It is the city’s creative, quirky, and rebellious heart.”
