Since 1987, the YWCA Alaska has worked tirelessly to challenge racist policy and rhetoric as well as support and empower women with all their goals. The mission of the YWCA is to Eliminate Racism, Empower Women, and Promote Peace, Justice, Freedom, and Dignity for all. The vision of the YWCA Alaska is to march bravely into an equitable, diverse, inclusive Alaska. Uplift our community and champion positive change through leadership in thought, behavior, and action. The work continues as we move through 2024 and into 2025 as basic human rights and monumental civil rights are put in jeopardy. We can’t do it alone and are so thankful to our many volunteers and supporters!
